Most homeowners never think about what's happening up in their attic. Out of sight, out of mind. But that's exactly where a lot of comfort and efficiency problems start - and where we go to find them.
When we do a ductwork inspection, we're checking the whole picture. The plenum connections, the flexible duct runs, the insulation condition, the sealing at every joint. It doesn't take much - a loose connection here, a worn seal there - and suddenly you've got a room that never quite heats or cools right no matter what you set the thermostat to. That's not a thermostat problem. That's a duct problem.
We also check what's running alongside and below all of that ductwork. Wiring condition, refrigerant line insulation, general wear on the system components - it all gets looked at. If something's starting to go, we'd rather catch it during a diagnostic visit than after it causes a bigger issue. That's the whole point of HVAC system diagnostics done right.
The furnace itself is part of the picture too. A unit like the Trane XV80 is a solid, dependable piece of equipment - but even good equipment needs regular eyes on it. Furnace maintenance isn't just about changing a filter. It's about making sure the full system - from the equipment to the last flex duct in the attic - is actually working together the way it should.
If you've got rooms that aren't keeping up, or your energy bills seem higher than they should be, the duct system is one of the first places worth checking. We're here to help figure out what's actually going on.
